Origami Box- Emma

Hello everyone! Today I am going to show you how to make a simple origami box. Start off with a piece of plain origami paper.

Fold the origami in half, white side out.

Unfold it and fold it in half in the other direction, so that when you unfold it the creases make a cross.

Unfold the second crease, and fold in the four corners to the center of the origami, color-side out.

Fold the left and right edges vertically so that they meet in the middle, and are parallel to each other.

Fold in the bottom and top edges horizontally so that they meet in the middle, and are parallel to each other. Do not unfold the previous left and right edge fold!

Unfold the paper fully except the left and right triangles.

Now for the most difficult part: Fold in the top two corners so they touch each other. This should naturally lift up the side of the paper to create the first wall of the box.

Fold the top part of the wall down into the box

Repeat the process on the other side.

Once you fold down the top flap, you should have a completed origami box!

Fill your box with anything you’d like: pieces of candy, hair pins, or even other pieces of origami!
